So a milestone in the campaign was reached today - or actually last night. The website "ugandaorphanage.com" went live! Enormous thanks go out to Will Nelson for developing it. We plan to add videos and information on the children as we move forward, but this is an exciting first step.
I'm going to take a few moments to more fully explain the name Seeing Is Believing. If you've watched the video on the front page of the web site, you may notice that I get a little emotional talking about the story of Thomas. My first ever acting role was playing Thomas in an Easter production at the church we were attending several years ago. I found myself connecting very intimately with the man. He has forever been dubbed "Doubting Thomas" because he wouldn't believe that Jesus had risen from the dead until he actually saw Him, saw the nail holes in His hands. But the point that everyone always seems to forget is that none of the others believed until they saw Jesus either - Thomas just happened to be away when the Risen Christ first appeared.
But the concept of wrestling with doubts resounded within me. As my wife and I were talking about the trip after my return, I told her that my supreme reluctance to go on the trip and the resulting blessings that I received from it reminded me once again of Thomas - I wouldn't believe until I had seen it, experienced it for myself. So she said "There's the name for the campaign - Seeing Is Believing". The follow up, of course, is what Jesus said to Thomas afterwards - "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet still believe."
So, my friends, the vast majority of you have not seen Mama Mary and the children. But please believe me when I tell you that you WILL be blessed by supporting them!

Hello Dale, Once again I want pass my apreciation to you for acting on your faith and making it practical. I know the Lord is going to raise amazing leaders and people from Mama Mary's home. Everything we do and give no matter how small we think it is makes a huge diffference in the lives these children. We keep praying for you and others who are taking steps of faith to bring holistic transformation. Bless you.
